Wilderness Little Vumbura – Mokoro Excursions *
Silent dugout canoe through the Delta's clear channels
Skip to product information
A mokoro is a traditional dugout canoe, poled quietly through the narrow, clear-water channels of the Okavango Delta. Moving at water level and without engine noise, guests get close views of painted reed frogs and waterlilies that a boat or vehicle would miss. It is a slow, low-impact way to explore the floodplains around Little Vumbura, guided by a poler who reads the channels. The excursion runs year-round, water levels permitting, and works well paired with the camp's other water-based activities such as boating and fishing.
