Wilderness Magashi Peninsula - Boating *
Lake outings on Magashi's water, wildlife included
Skip to product information
Two pontoon boats and a smaller swamp cruiser take guests out onto the lake bordering Akagera National Park, with picnic lunches or sunset drinks part of the outing. Animals come down to drink along the shoreline, so the boat often passes close to rhino, elephant and buffalo, and on lucky days a leopard or lion near the water's edge. Available throughout the year, boating gives a different vantage point on the peninsula than the game drives, watching the bush from a calm, low angle across open water.
