Wilderness Mokete – Community Village Visits

A visit to Mababe Village, near Wilderness Mokete, for direct contact with the community that lives alongside the wildlife guests come to see. Village elders share stories and explain local history, while guides demonstrate tracking methods passed down through generations. Guests can try basket-weaving, a traditional craft of the region, or join a football match with villagers. It is a break from game drives and walks, built around conversation and skills rather than sightings, and gives a sense of the people and culture around the Mababe region of Botswana.
