Wilderness Qorokwe – Mokoro Excursions *

A mokoro is a traditional dugout canoe, poled quietly through the Okavango Delta's narrow, clear-water channels by a local guide. Moving at water level and without engine noise, guests can look closely for painted reed frogs tucked among the reeds and waterlilies floating on the surface. It is a slower, closer way of seeing the Delta than a game drive or motorboat allows. The excursion depends on water levels, though Wilderness Qorokwe reports it is generally possible throughout the year. It sits alongside boating, birdwatching and guided walks among the lodge's water-based activities.
