Wildhaven Yosemite

Arriving after the drive up Highway 140, guests trade pavement for a hillside of canvas tents and timber cabins scattered above the Mariposa foothills. The lower loop holds the standard and premium tents, built around a shared bathhouse, cooking area and firepit; the upper terrace holds the cabins, tiny-home structures with kitchenettes, air-conditioning and full baths. Each tent runs 180 square feet under an eight-foot ceiling, with two queens or a queen and bunks, memory-foam mattresses and a covered deck. It gets warm in summer. Premium tents sit higher up, quieter and closer to the bathhouse, with heated mattress pads and a private gas firepit on the back deck. Cabins measure 10 by 18 feet or longer, with skylights, a picture window and a shaded patio built into the design. A three-quarter-mile trail links the two loops, climbing Spring Hill past a sunrise overlook, a shaded picnic spot and a pergola set up for sunset. Mariposa's shops and river access lie two minutes away by car; the park's Arch Rock entrance is roughly forty-five minutes further. Guests without a car can pick up the YARTS shuttle a mile down the road. Back at camp, a heated pool, hiking trail and communal firepit fill the hours between drives into the park, and evenings often close with wine from the on-site store.
