Witches Falls Cottages
Tamborine Mountain, a volcanic plateau in the Gold Coast hinterland, holds Witches Falls Cottages directly across the road from Witches Falls National Park. The property has seven rooms across two types: five private cottages, split-level with a queen bed and a fireplace, and two newer premium cottages with king beds and space for a day bed. Each has its own courtyard with a covered barbecue, a double spa, and a glass roof over the bathroom that opens the room to the garden and, at night, the sky. Breakfast arrives by hamper each morning, left at the door with bread baked on site. It is a short walk to North Tamborine village, with its cafes, shops and restaurants, and to three local wineries, all within a kilometre. Across the road, the national park's rainforest shelters the rare Albert's lyrebird among other wildlife, reachable on a short walk from the cottage door. Fires are lit through the cooler months. Check-in runs from 2pm. The setting favours quiet over spectacle: no beach, no coastline, just rainforest canopy, a waterfall nearby, and a mountain village close enough to reach on foot.
