Boating Excursions

Two-tiered motorboats carry guests along channels lined with papyrus, out into wider rivers and lagoons within Moremi Game Reserve. The flat water often reflects the sky, giving a doubled view of the surroundings. These deeper waterways are where crocodiles rest along the banks and large hippo pods gather, offering sightings unavailable on land-based drives. The pace is slow, allowing time to watch birds and wildlife along the banks. Boating depends on the season and how high the floodwaters rise, so it is not offered year-round at Xigera Safari Lodge.
