Yatule Resort & Spa
Beachfront bures on Natadola Bay, an hour from Nadi airport
Yatule Resort & Spa is set directly on Natadola Beach, on the western coast of Viti Levu, roughly an hour's drive from Nadi International Airport. The bay here draws golfers and swimmers alike, with a coral reef running just offshore and a wide curve of white sand in front of the resort. Thirty-six bures, Fijian-style bungalows with thatched or timber detailing, spread back from the shore in categories that range from Pool View to Deluxe Beachfront; each has air conditioning, a safe and an en suite bathroom. The Deluxe Ocean View bures add private balconies facing the water. A three-bedroom Executive Villa sleeps larger groups, with its own living room and laundry.
Two restaurants anchor the food: NA UA serves Western, Asian and tandoori dishes, while Yuhi Robata Grill cooks over an open flame in the Japanese robatayaki style. Breakers Bar and a coffee shop sit near the water. You can snorkel the reef a short swim from the beach, or join a bush walk, weaving lesson or hermit crab race arranged through the resort. Natadola Bay Championship Course, host to the Fiji International, lies a few minutes away by road. The beach itself runs wide and flat at low tide, and every bure is within walking distance of it.
