YWCA Fort Canning

YWCA Fort Canning is set directly across from Fort Canning Park, one of Singapore's oldest green spaces, with Dhoby Ghaut MRT station a five to ten minute walk away. The property belongs to the YWCA, a non-profit founded in 1875, and profits from stays go toward its community programmes for women, children and families. Rooms run from Standard Twins to a Family Quad with four full beds, and several suites face the park itself. The Park View Suite pairs a king bedroom with a separate living room and a walk-in closet. The Kids and Family Room measures 32 m² and adds a bunk bed, a Playstation 5 and parquet flooring under a ceiling-to-floor window. Downstairs, Café Lodge serves local dishes alongside the kitchen's own creations. An outdoor pool sits on site, along with a 24-hour self-service launderette and covered parking. It is a short covered walk to the park's escalator link, useful in the rain. Guests reach Plaza Singapura and Orchard Road on foot within a quarter hour. The building functions as a working hotel first, with an events ballroom used for weddings and meetings alongside the overnight rooms. Checked against the park's greenery on one side and the city's grid on the other, the setting does most of the talking.
