Zachar Bay Lodge

Zachar Bay Lodge is nestled at the foot of a mountain in a secluded bay on the west side of Kodiak Island surrounded by the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. Located in South Central Alaska, Kodiak Island is the second largest Island in the United States. Access to Zachar is provided by a 50nm floatplane flight from Kodiak City. This remote lodge offers several rustic rooms which have a daily housekeeping service in four primary buildings. Each building provides lodging for summertime guests, including private rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

The dining hall and lounge are located in the main lodge, with limited internet available in the dining hall. Between October and December, private self-catering cabins are made available for hunting season. Zachar Bay Lodge offers stream sports fishing, ocean fishing, wildlife views which include bear viewing and coastline boat cruises, as well as seasonal unguided deer hunting.
