Zambezi Boutique Guesthouse
Developed on a residential plot on the edge of Victoria Falls town, Zambezi Boutique Guesthouse was built as a small alternative to the area's larger hotels. It holds seven suites in total: four luxury suites, one deluxe suite and two double-storey superior suites, arranged around teak trees and a garden. The scale keeps things quiet. Families and small groups tend to take the whole place, since there is no lobby to share and no crowd at breakfast.

The rooftop deck is the property's clearest asset. It looks out towards the Zambezi River, with the spray of the Falls visible in the distance on clear days, and it doubles as the bar for sundowners. Meals come from a live kitchen, where the chef cooks in front of guests rather than out of sight, and the restaurant takes its name, Kumusha, from the local word for home. Below the terrace, a garden runs down to an infinity pool, used for laps in the morning and cocktails by evening. Rooms range from 27.5 to 55 square metres, several with mini kitchens or lounges for longer stays.

Victoria Falls town, and the falls themselves, sit a short drive away. Check-in runs from 2pm, and breakfast is cooked to order each morning on the terrace.
