Beagle Channel cruise with wildlife and historic sights The cruise departs from Ushuaia’s commercial pier aboard the Akawaia boat. It navigates around Alicia Island, where passengers can spot seabirds such as steamer ducks, sheldgoose, kelp gulls, seagulls, and snowy sheathbills. The route continues near Mary Ann and Les Eclaireurs Islands to observe South American sea lions, fur seals, imperial shags, and rock shags. The journey includes a view of the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse and a narration about the 1930 shipwreck of the SS Monte Cervantes. The boat offers deck space for observation throughout the trip.
