Abbazia Santa Anastasia

Relais Santa Anastasia occupies a Benedictine abbey founded by Roger d'Hauteville in the 12th century within Madonie Park in Sicily. Twenty-nine rooms arranged around a central courtyard now fill the restored palmento, the abbey's former wine-pressing hall. Each room takes its name from a grape variety and features hand-painted floral motifs, timber ceilings, wooden floors, and textiles in warm tones. Comfort rooms measure 18 to 22 m²; Deluxe rooms range from 22 to 34 m² and face the garden or pool. Junior Suites span 38 to 40 m² and accommodate up to four guests. The Grand Suite occupies 40 to 50 m² in the palmento wing, with a hydromassage bath and views toward the Aeolian Islands.

La Corte dell'Abate serves a menu drawn from Sicilian ingredients, many harvested from the abbey's organic garden. In summer, Passioni e Tentazioni operates beside the pool with a simpler menu rooted in regional tradition. The property holds Demeter certification for biodynamic viticulture; the working winery conducts tastings and cellar tours. A 750 m² photovoltaic array supplies 80 per cent of the estate's energy requirement. Trails cross the surrounding park. The village of Castelbuono lies under twenty minutes by car; Cefalù and its Norman cathedral are a short drive north. A lake and a private church stand within the grounds.
