African Bush Camps Linyanti Ebony

Linyanti Ebony sits on elevated decking above the Linyanti Wetlands inside Chobe National Park, looking out over shallow waterways that draw elephant, buffalo, zebra, and a wide range of resident and migratory birds. The camp holds four tented suites — three luxury tented suites and one two-bedroom family suite — keeping the group small enough that guides can run the day around the people staying there.

Each luxury tented suite has a king-size bed, an indoor and outdoor shower, and a writing desk. The family suite adds a self-contained lounge, a private deck over the wetlands, and a freestanding bath. Larger groups or families travelling together can book the entire camp exclusively, with a minimum of eight people.

Activities run in several directions. Game drives go out in open four-wheel-drive vehicles in the early morning and late afternoon, when animals are most active. Walking safaris take you away from the vehicle and into the bush on foot with an expert guide. On the waterways, local polers take guests through the wetlands in traditional mokoro dugout canoes. Helicopter flights, run with the doors removed, cover the wider park from the air. Birders can look for the African fish eagle, saddle-billed stork, African skimmer, and Pel's fishing owl.

The camp runs a children's programme called the Ngwana Club — ngwana is the Setswana word for explorer — offering nature walks, cooking classes, traditional storytelling, and arts and crafts tailored by age and interest. There is a plunge pool and a firepit on site.
