Agama Lodge
Agama Lodge occupies a valley position along the southern bank of the Diep Rivier, a dry riverbed set within the Namib Naukluft Park. The Naukluft Mountains rise to the north-east; the infinity pool and viewing deck look out over the central Namib Desert. Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, and Sesriem Canyon are all within reach from the gate.
The lodge has forty chalets split between two types. Standard chalets sit on the riverbank and have air conditioning, two three-quarter beds, a private shower, and a furnished veranda. Deluxe chalets are larger, with a marble bathroom, a rainfall shower room, a separate WC, a pull-out sofa, a safe, and a shaded veranda with mountain views. Both types are built so that you can sleep under the open sky if you choose — a private roof terrace on the Deluxe chalets makes this possible.
The restaurant draws on home-grown produce where it can, and the bar and barbeque facilities sit alongside the pool. Activities run from the property and beyond: self-guided walks on the reserve, guided walks into the Naukluft foothills, and three-quarter-day excursions to Sossusvlei. The lodge is malaria-free and has complimentary internet access and secure parking.
