Albatross Guesthouse Langebaan

Set on Jutten Street in central Langebaan, Albatross Guesthouse was fully rebuilt in 2019, a short walk from the lagoon and the main beach. The property runs eight room types across a mix of standard doubles, family rooms and one self-catering apartment. Rooms carry pure cotton linen, dressing gowns and a verandah; several open directly onto a private garden entrance rather than a shared corridor. One double room is built for wheelchair access, with step-free routes through the property. The self-catering apartment sits on the second floor, within 100 metres of the main beach, and is not suited to elderly guests or small children given the stairs. A communal lounge and dining area anchor the main house, and a barbecue area gives guests a place to cook outdoors. Wi-Fi runs complimentary throughout. Staff run a travel desk and can arrange an airport shuttle or chauffeur service, useful given Langebaan's spread of activities: kite surfing, kayaking, deep sea fishing, game drives further afield, and birdwatching on the lagoon itself. It reads as a base for the coast rather than a destination in itself. The security desk runs around the clock. Laundry service is available on request, and each room comes with its own fridge and tea and coffee facilities for anyone staying beyond a night or two.
