Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort & Villas

Anantara Koh Yao Yai sits on Koh Yao Yai island in Phang Nga Bay, with limestone formations visible in the water in every direction and more than a kilometre of beach running along the shore. The resort offers suites and one- or two-bedroom villas. Suites are furnished with living areas, drinks cabinets and coffee machines. The villas add private swimming pools with sun decks, separate dining areas and more space throughout — the two-bedroom option works well for families or two couples travelling together.

On-site restaurants cover Thai, Japanese and international menus, and the bars serve cocktails with a view of the bay and its limestone islands. Beyond the pool and the beach, the resort organises snorkelling, diving, cycling and beach games. A fitness centre, a children's and teenagers' club, and gardens complete the facilities on the ground.

Koh Yao Yai is a quieter island than Phuket or Krabi town, and the bay location means the limestone scenery is present from the beach rather than requiring a boat trip to reach it. Access to the island is by boat from the mainland, with Phang Nga Bay as the arrival view.
