Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River

Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River sits inside Kafue National Park on the bank of the Kafue River in Zambia's Central Province. The camp holds thirteen units in total, raised off the ground to sit above the riverside vegetation rather than cut through it.

The main accommodation is a set of spacious tented villas, each with a private balcony, plunge pool, minibar, and outdoor shower. The Bush Pool Villa runs to a hundred and fifteen square metres, with a private lounge, an indoor massage room with river views, and exclusive boat access. The Presidential Villa covers four hundred square metres for up to four adults and includes a games room, library, and in-villa barbecue. Three Horizon Terrace Suites take a different approach: raised fourteen metres above the ground, they are reached by a glass elevator and occupy two levels — a bedroom below and a living area above, with an open deck suited to watching the tree canopy and the river below. Each has a star bed.

From the camp you can join game drives, night drives, guided walks, and boat cruises on the river. Catch-and-release fishing is available on the water. The main lodge has a restaurant, bar, fire pit, and a floating gym positioned over the river. The kitchen draws on local produce from both land and water, and private dining can be arranged at a location of your choice within the camp or surrounding bush.

The camp is a member of Virtuoso and accepts credit cards. A shuttle service is available for transfers.
