Ocean safari (additional cost)

An excursion away from Phinda's Big Five reserve, out onto the Indian Ocean aboard an inflatable vessel with a certified dive master. The boat searches out wild dolphins, with the chance to swim alongside them, and stops for snorkelling over reefs thick with fish. In season, humpback and southern right whales pass through these waters and can often be spotted from the boat. It is an added-cost activity, run separately from the reserve's game drives and walks, and depends on sea conditions on the day.
