Game Drives (included)

Game drives run in early morning and late afternoon, continuing after dark for a chance at nocturnal sightings. Trained guides tailor the pace to guest interest, whether that means tracking a specific species or lingering at a sighting to watch behaviour unfold. They point out vegetation and explain what the animals are doing, and in many cases can identify individual animals and describe their history within the reserve. Phinda Private Game Reserve is known for strong sightings of cheetah and black rhino alongside the Big Five, with several resident lion prides adding to the odds of a close encounter.
