Pangolin Conservation Experience (additional cost)
Track a reintroduced pangolin with Phinda's own researchers
Skip to product information
This privately guided outing puts guests alongside the reserve's conservation team as they search for one of the ground pangolins reintroduced to Phinda after local extinction. Using radio and cellular tracking tags, the researcher locates the animal, checks its condition, and downloads data from its tag while guests watch from close range. It runs in the afternoon or evening during winter, and at night in summer. Participants must be sixteen or older, and groups under six guests require a private vehicle, booked in advance. Handling the pangolins is not permitted. The experience carries an additional cost and depends on availability.
