Rhino Tracking On Foot (additional cost)

A morning spent on foot with a ranger and a dedicated tracker, searching the Zululand bush for black rhino, one of Africa's rarest and most endangered animals. Guests wear proper walking shoes and move slowly, learning to spot footprints, dung piles and the trees and termite mounds rhino use to mark territory. The pace is dictated by the trail, not the clock, and there is no guarantee of a sighting. What guests gain instead is a close reading of the bush: tracks, droppings and rubbed bark become clues in a slow, patient search led by people who know the terrain well.
