Interpretive Nature Walks and Big Game Viewing Walk (Included; subject to the availability of a qualified guide)

An armed ranger and tracker lead this walk on foot around the lodge grounds, an on-the-ground counterpart to the vehicle-based game drives. The pace is slow and deliberate: guides point out flora, decode animal tracks in the sand, and stop to look closely at smaller creatures easy to miss from a vehicle. Big game may be tracked on foot, sense by sense, following sound, scent and disturbed grass to work out what has passed and where it has gone. Included, though it depends on a qualified guide being available. It suits guests keen on the detail of the bush rather than the sighting alone.
