Ocean safari (additional cost)

An add-on excursion that takes guests off Phinda's Big Five terrain and out to sea, aboard an inflatable vessel led by a certified dive master. The outing offers the chance to encounter and swim with wild dolphins, snorkel over reefs, and, in season, spot humpback and southern right whales. It is a marine counterpart to the lodge's land-based game drives and walks, run as a separate booking rather than part of the standard safari programme. Sightings depend on conditions and season, as with any wildlife encounter at sea.
