Pangolin Conservation Experience (additional cost)

Guests join a conservation researcher on foot to find a Temminck's ground pangolin reintroduced to Phinda Private Game Reserve, one of the world's most heavily trafficked mammals. Using signals from a fitted UHF tracking tag, the team locates the animal, checks its condition, and downloads monitoring data gathered since the last visit. Guests watch this process at close range but cannot touch or hold the pangolin. The outing runs in the afternoon or evening during winter, and after dark in summer. It requires a minimum age of sixteen, comes at an extra cost, and groups under six guests need a private vehicle.
