Ocean safari (additional cost)

An add-on excursion beyond Phinda's inland reserve, taken aboard an inflatable vessel with a certified dive master. The outing gives guests the chance to swim with wild dolphins and snorkel over reefs, with humpback and southern right whales visible in season. It is a marine counterpart to the lodge's Big Five game drives and walks, run from the coast rather than the bush. Timing depends on sea conditions and season, and the activity carries an additional cost on top of the standard lodge programme. Wetsuits, snorkelling gear and boat handling are managed by the dive team accompanying the group.
