andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas Seronera area

The camp moves. That is the point of andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas: rather than sitting in one place, the team repositions the camp through Serengeti National Park across the year, placing it where the Great Migration herds are expected to be. The Seronera area is one of the locations the camp occupies during this rotation.

Each camp holds eight tents, which keeps the group small and the site quiet. The tents are large — each has been extended and now includes an indoor sitting area as well as the sleeping space. Inside you will find a double bed, an ensuite bathroom, a separate w.c., and two open-air bucket showers positioned outside the tent. The furnishings run to Indian rugs, polished brass, and crystal glassware — more considered than the word "camping" usually suggests.

Because the camp relocates to track the migration, what you see from your tent changes depending on when you arrive. The Serengeti supports lion, leopard, cheetah, and elephant alongside the wildebeest and zebra that make up the migration columns, so game is present in the park regardless of exactly where the herds are moving at any given moment.

The camp is set inside Serengeti National Park, a protected area in Tanzania's Mara Region.
