Antsanitia Resort

Antsanitia Resort sits on a long sandy beach where a river flows into the ocean, set within a tropical garden north of Mahajanga on Madagascar's northwest coast. The location gives you two waterfronts at once: open ocean on one side, the river mouth on the other.

Accommodation runs across three categories. Rooms have terraces and look out over the garden; bungalows face the ocean; suites come with private pools. All are air-conditioned and fitted with individual safes and en-suite bathrooms.

The restaurant and lounge bar look out over the ocean and serve meals prepared with local ingredients alongside cocktails made from local produce. You can also take drinks in the living room or beside the large swimming pool, where sun loungers are arranged along the water's edge.

The wellness centre offers oil massages and beauty treatments.

Mahajanga town is the nearest city, giving the resort straightforward access to regional facilities and the airport that serves the province. The beach itself is the main reason guests come: a long stretch of sand at a river mouth, with the garden between the accommodation and the shore.
