Game Drives

Two outings a day, one at dawn and one as the light softens in late afternoon, run from Apoka in open-sided Landcruisers. Guides ask what guests want to find and shape the route around it, whether that's predators, the park's giraffe and antelope herds, or its birdlife, with over four hundred species recorded in Kidepo Valley. Drinks and a snack travel along too, so the vehicle can stop and guests can step out for a break in the bush. Lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo and waterbuck all turn up regularly on these drives.
