Bay View Lodge

Bay View Lodge sits at the tip of the Barra peninsula where the estuary meets the open coast, with the beach directly in front of the property. You are on the sand — not a short walk from it. The lodge offers self-catering units, each air-conditioned and furnished with a kitchenette, lounge area, mosquito nets, and barbecue facilities. The units are set up for families or couples who want to cook some meals themselves and eat out for others.

For meals out, The Green Turtle restaurant is on site, serving both European and African dishes, with drinks available at the same location. Outside the units, there is a swimming pool, a children's playground, and broad outdoor seating areas facing the water.

The activities available from Barra are shaped by the peninsula's position between estuary and open sea: surfing and fishing on the ocean side, diving and snorkelling in the clear coastal water, and birding in the estuary behind the lodge. Local markets in the Inhambane area are within reach by road.

The lodge is on Barra Road, Praia da Barra, in Inhambane province. Parking is available on site, and laundry services are offered for longer stays.
