Bay View Resort sits directly on Dolphin Bay at the edge of Swakopmund, a six-floor building with the Atlantic in front and the Namib dunes behind. All forty-four rooms face the ocean, each with a private balcony, kitchenette, lounge area, dedicated workspace, fridge, and television with Netflix. Rooms are practical enough for a working stay and comfortable enough to idle in. The two executive penthouse suites add three en-suite bedrooms each, a dining room, island kitchen, indoor braai, and a large patio with open views across the water and the dunes.

On the sixth floor, the Sky Bar serves cocktails, wines, and light bites in the evenings and is open to guests and the public. Below it, the SALT Restaurant runs from buffets to fine-dining fusion, drawing on local and international produce. A rooftop splash pool and the Ocean Escape Wellness Centre — which offers massages — give you ways to spend time between meals and activities.

Swakopmund has a full range of activities on its doorstep: quad biking, sandboarding, kayaking, deep-sea fishing, scenic helicopter flights, paragliding, and boat cruises.
