BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park

Built around a private tidal saltwater billabong fed from the nearby Tweed River, BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park spreads across 130 acres in Tweed Heads South on the far north coast of New South Wales. The park sits one block from the Terranora Inlet section of the river; a boat ramp lies 700 metres west. Seven cabin types accommodate two to eight guests. The three-bedroom Greenmount Villa sleeps up to eight. Fingal cabins sleep five or six; Kirra, Cabarita, Burleigh, Duranbah, and Wooyung cabins hold smaller groups. One Duranbah cabin is accessible. All cabins carry reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating, plus televisions; selected units include DVD players.

Powered sites include artificial grass pitches in standard and larger formats, caravan sites on cement slabs measuring approximately eight by ten metres, and sites directly on the billabong edge at roughly seven by seven metres. Ensuite sites supply private shower, toilet, and vanity. Each site permits one vehicle or boat. The billabong itself offers swimming, fishing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding; hire equipment is available at ten dollars per hour. A waterpark operates seasonally. One pool is heated to 28 degrees over winter months. The camp kitchen holds full-size fridges, sinks, microwaves, two ovens, two hotplates, a toaster, and a hot-water boiler; three barbecue areas adjoin it. Sprinkles Bakehouse runs kids' cooking and craft sessions at twelve dollars per session. A guest lounge, laundry, and free wireless internet are on site. Gold Coast Airport lies six kilometres north; Coolangatta beach is five minutes by car.
