Gorilla tracking departs each morning at eight-fifty from the Buhoma sector briefing point, a five-minute drive from the lodge. Buhoma Gorilla Camp operates ten cottages built on wooden platforms within a forest patch in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in south-west Uganda. Each cottage stands above a stream that runs through the property. You can hear water from the balcony. Cottages feature twin or double beds under mosquito nets, a rain shower, a private balcony with seating, wireless internet, and tea and coffee facilities. A family cottage accommodates four to five guests. The roofs are banana fibre; floors are wood.

Breakfast is served daily; packed lunches are prepared for guests departing on tracking. Massage treatments are available on request, including deep-tissue and aromatherapy sessions. The restaurant and lounge area occupy an upper floor with seating and views over the forest. A standby generator provides electricity. Twenty-four-hour security is standard.

Guided nature walks follow six trails in the Buhoma sector, including a waterfall route and forest paths that take two to three hours. Community walks introduce Batwa cultural practices through dance and drama over two hours. Bird-watching walks track resident species within the park. Staff assist with gorilla permit reservations. Complimentary laundry service is included. Transfers from Kihihi Airstrip cover thirty-five kilometres and can be arranged through the lodge.
