Bush Rover Migration Camp - Grumeti

This seasonal mobile camp in the Mara Region of Tanzania moves between three locations in the Serengeti to stay close to the wildebeest migration. When the herds move, the camp moves with them.

The accommodation is built on working Land Rovers. Each vehicle opens out to form a tented bedroom measuring four point two by four point eight metres, mounted on a metal platform that uses the Land Rover itself as its foundation. You sleep at height — the elevated bedroom and balcony put you above ground level, close to the surrounding land without being on it. Every suite runs on solar power, with hot water, a flush toilet, and a bathtub fitted into the rear of the vehicle.

In the evenings, drinks are served by the campfire and dinner is taken in a dining tent. The camp carries no fixed address because the point is to be where the migration is, not where a building happens to stand.

Bush Rover moves across three sites within the Serengeti ecosystem, positioning guests at the migration's edge across different phases of the annual cycle.
