Butlers Crown

Built up over the years as an owner-run alternative to the chain hotels near Klerksdorp's business district, Butlers Crown keeps its ten rooms under the direct eye of its owners, who greet guests personally and run daily operations themselves. The property sits on 2 hectares of lawn and indigenous trees in Wilkoppies, close enough to main routes and medical facilities for business stays, far enough back for quiet. Every room has its own private entrance. The Standard Business Room is compact, with a kitchenette and en-suite shower for a short stopover. The Bauhaus Business Suite, favoured by medical reps, pairs concrete finishes with a kitchenette counter built for laptops rather than breakfast trays. Largest of all is the Executive Business Suite, with a separate sitting area and an open-plan bathroom that includes a bath, shower and bidet. Families get their own self-contained cottage, with a queen bedroom, bunk room, lounge and full kitchen. Meals come from Butler's Kitchen, an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, plus takeaway; food can be taken in the dining room or sent to the room, useful after a long day of meetings. A pool, bar lounge and secured parking round out the grounds. Check-in runs from 2pm.
