Cala Beach Resort Punta Ala
Twelve private cabanas between pinewood and beach at Punta Ala
Set between a pine forest and the shoreline at Punta Ala, Cala Beach Resort takes its shape from an unusual pyramid design, close to the town's marina. The sea here runs clear over pale sand, and the resort keeps twelve private cabana areas on the beach directly in front of it for guests only. Rooms and suites are bright and contemporary, furnished in a plain modern style, and most look out towards the island of Elba, with Corsica and Capraia visible further out on a clear day. The Pyramid junior suite and the Panoramic suite both take the 180-degree sea view as their main feature. Three restaurants cover the ground between beach and pine trees: VistAmare, set on the sand, serves contemporary Mediterranean food from local, seasonal ingredients; La Spiaggia leans towards a fusion menu with international touches; La Vela, on its own stretch of beach club terrace, is built for dinners under open sky with the water in view. Two bars pour cocktails within a short walk of the shore. Beyond the beach, the resort arranges golf, watersports, padel, tennis, and horseback riding through the Maremma countryside, along with boat tours out to Elba. A small fitness area sits near La Vela beach, open to guests daily. Check-in and cabana allocation are handled on arrival.
