Camp Moremi

Camp Moremi sits on the edge of Xakanaxa Lagoon inside Moremi Game Reserve, one of the larger protected areas within the Okavango Delta system. The camp has been completely rebuilt and holds twelve tented rooms: eleven luxury safari tents and one family unit with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. All rooms are thatched, with double vanities, showers, and private decks that look out over the reserve.

Game drives run in open 4x4 vehicles morning and afternoon, moving through several different ecosystems within Moremi. The reserve produces frequent sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, and elephant. Ebony trees shade the camp itself, and the lagoon draws birdlife in numbers that reward anyone who points binoculars at the water or the canopy.

The second activity here is on the water. Motorised boats take guests out onto Xakanaxa Lagoon and into the surrounding Okavango channels — a different angle on the delta from anything a 4x4 can reach. The camp also has a bar, pool, and restaurant on site, with complimentary laundry and a private vehicle available to guests.

Access is via a small airstrip at Xakanaxa, with the camp address on Airport Road.
