Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel

Guests arrive at Cape Grace by car or chauffeur to a quay address on Cape Town's V&A Waterfront, the hotel standing between the working commercial harbour and the yacht marina. The building holds 113 rooms and suites across five floors, each fitted with French doors opening onto views of the active port, the moored sailing craft, or the western slope of Table Mountain. Marble en-suite bathrooms, dressing areas, and Fairmont linen are standard. Rooftop rooms occupy the uppermost storey. The Two Bedroom Suite and Three Bedroom Suite each include a private balcony, separate dining space, and butler's pantry; the Waterfront Penthouse Suite adds a terrace and Jacuzzi. Heirloom Restaurant serves a menu drawn from Cape culinary heritage, paired with a South African wine list. Bascule Bar, named for the working drawbridge mechanism visible inside, holds a whisky collection and looks directly onto the marina. The Library Lounge occupies an interior room lined with books. Afternoon tea is served overlooking the quay. The Fairmont spa and gym sit behind the main building; a heated pool lies in a courtyard open to hotel guests only. Complimentary chauffeur drives operate within a set radius of the Waterfront. You can hear the calls of kelp gulls and the percussion of halyards from the marina-facing terrace.
