Capella Singapore

Capella Singapore sits on thirty acres of Sentosa Island, a short distance from central Singapore. The grounds are framed by rainforest on one side and the South China Sea on the other, and the architecture places a restored colonial building at the centre, with two contemporary wings extending from it. The result is a single property that holds both the original period structure and purpose-built modern rooms in one complex.

The resort has one hundred and twelve rooms and suites. Interiors carry colonial and Asian accents — wide balconies, rainforest showers — and each room comes with a personal assistant assigned for the stay. Arrival and departure times are flexible. The grounds include courtyards, a sculpture garden, and cycle and jogging paths that run through the manicured land.

Three pools step down toward the sea in a cascade, with South China Sea views from the water. The Auriga Spa occupies its own part of the grounds, with treatment rooms that open directly onto garden walkways at the edge of the surrounding rainforest. Therapists work in both traditional Asian and contemporary techniques.

Sentosa Island also holds Universal Studios and several beaches, all reachable on foot from the property.
