Casa Babi sits in the fishing village of Vilanculos, a few steps from a working beach where dhow crews come and go with their catch each day. The guest house looks out over the bay toward the Bazaruto Archipelago and holds six rooms in total: four classic sea-view rooms with private balconies, a honeymoon suite with a private terrace, and a family suite with two connected rooms and a large private garden. A separate self-catering bungalow — a rondavel set in a garden — sleeps up to five and suits families or small groups; guests there can cook independently or use the main kitchen. Rooms are furnished with organic materials, fitted with mosquito nets and fans, and designed to catch the sea breeze. There is no air-conditioning.

The in-house restaurant serves guests only. The kitchen combines Mediterranean and Mozambican cooking, draws on local produce and a vegetable garden, and can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. Breakfast includes homemade bread, jams, and crêpes. Dinner is three courses and needs to be ordered before mid-afternoon. Owners Sabrina and Denis run the property themselves.

Adjacent to Casa Babi is Odyssea Dive, an activity centre where SUP boards and kayaks are available to guests at no additional charge. Scuba diving and kite-surf lessons can be booked there. The property also has a pool and arranges guided walks, whale watching, deep-sea fishing, and boat cruises. Staff speak English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
