Casa de La Flora

Casa de La Flora took its name and shape from an idea the owners called arising flora, a concept of growth and renewal that still governs the resort's design. The result is a row of slate-grey cube villas set along the palm-fringed sand of Khao Lak, on Thailand's Andaman coast. Thirty-four villas and suites are arranged across six categories, from a compact Studio Pool Villa to two-storey Duplex and Beachfront Grand layouts with private pools and sunbeds. Glass facades run floor to ceiling in most rooms, framing the sea rather than blocking it. Bathrooms lean toward the theatrical: several villas keep a two-person tub positioned to catch the morning light. La Aranya restaurant sits on the beachfront and serves Thai and international dishes; a pool bar nearby pours tropical cocktails through the afternoon. Guests can hire bicycles and water sports gear directly from the property, and the house reef at Khao Na Yak, a short boat ride away, stays shallow enough for new divers. Spa la Casa runs daily from mid-morning into the evening. The resort also backs a local reef project, built from decommissioned military vehicles sunk off Bang Niang beach in 2018, now a small marine habitat. It is a quiet, contemporary base, and one built with the beach, not against it.
