Chan-Kah Resort Village Convention Center & Maya Spa
Chan-Kah Resort Village occupies forested land in the Chiapas lowlands three kilometres from the Palenque archaeological zone. Seventy-six independent casitas in villa, suite, and master-suite configurations are distributed across the property, each air-conditioned and fitted with a television, hairdryer, telephone, and wireless internet. Private bathrooms include toiletries. Every casita opens onto a private balcony overlooking either the cenote-style pools or the Río Michol, which runs through the grounds. Villa suites accommodate two guests in a king or two doubles; master suites are the largest category.
Two pools are built in the form of Mayan cenotes, edged with natural stone. The on-site restaurant serves regional Chiapas cuisine alongside wider Mexican dishes; a separate café operates during daylight hours. A bar adjacent to the pools remains open in the evenings. The Maya Spa offers massage and water-based therapies; one treatment involves flotation meditation in still water surrounded by jungle canopy. Yoga classes take place in a dedicated studio. You can hear the river from the balconies. The resort maintains event spaces and a convention centre for group functions. The Palenque ruins lie within ten minutes by road; waterfalls and rivers are accessible by car.
