Sangwala Trail Hike: Three-day trek through montane grasslands

The Sangwala Trail is a three-day hike covering 43 kilometres across montane grasslands and woodlands in Nyika National Park. It starts at Chelinda Camp and leads to two overnight camps, Sangule and Zungwala. Day one follows a road to Dam 3 before heading to Sangule camp. Day two is a 15-kilometre route passing Lake Kaulime and descending to Zungwala River camp. The final day is the most challenging, with a steep ascent and three stream crossings. Wildlife sightings include antelopes, zebras, warthogs, and various birds. The trail is fully catered with tents, camping gear, hot water showers, and eco toilets provided.
