Chobe River Cottages
Chobe River Cottages sit in central Kasane, Botswana, on the bank of the Chobe River. Shops, banks, restaurants, and a bureau de change are all within walking distance — you do not need a car to cover the basics. The cottages are set in a garden with a shared swimming pool.
Two room types are available. The twin room has two single beds, a private bathroom with shower, an open-plan lounge and kitchen, a sleeper couch that fits two adults or two small children, an outside veranda, and a private braai facility. The double room follows the same layout with a double bed in place of the twins. Both units are fully equipped for self-catering: kitchen appliances, DSTV in the lounge, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi are included.
Kasane sits at the meeting point of four countries, which means Victoria Falls and Livingstone are reachable on a day excursion, and Chobe National Park is close enough for guided game drives. Fishing on the river is also available locally, as is a golf course. Warthogs and mongooses move through the town on their own schedule, so wildlife requires no particular effort to find.
The property is in Botswana, not Zambia — a confusion that arises because of Kasane's position at the four-country border.
