Chundu Island sits on a 1.4-kilometre island in the Zambezi River, inside Zambezi National Park, twenty-one kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. The island is only reachable by boat, which sets the pace from the moment you arrive.

The lodge has eight suites in total — six River View Suites configured as double or twin rooms, each with a private deck and en-suite bathroom, and two Family River View Suites, each with a second bedroom holding two three-quarter beds for children up to eighteen. A rollaway bed can be added in the family suites for younger children. All suites look out over the river, either toward the Zambian bank or into the national park.

The activities run on both water and land. On the river: sundowner cruises, river cruises, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, each with a minimum age and a maximum of eight guests per outing. On land: guided game drives in open four-wheel-drive vehicles through Zambezi National Park, guided game walks, and bird watching — the wetlands, grasslands, and riverine forest along this stretch of the Zambezi support a wide range of species. The lodge also arranges visits to Victoria Falls, though park entry fees apply separately.

The property has a pool, bar, and activity desk. Laundry is available on site.
