Crowned Eagle Boutique Hotel

Crowned Eagle Boutique Hotel sits on Mica Point in Kariba, a colonial-style building on the Zimbabwean shore of Lake Kariba with the Matusadona mountain range directly across the water. All thirteen en-suite rooms have private verandas — some look straight over the lake, others over the gardens and pool toward the water beyond. Each room has air conditioning, satellite television, mosquito nets, and a minibar; tea and coffee are provided in the room.

The garden bar overlooks the lake and is where most guests end the afternoon. The dining room serves meals, and there is a swimming pool set in tropical gardens. The hotel also has a conference centre, barbecue facilities, secure parking, and an activity desk that organises what is a long list of things to do on and around the lake.

On the water you can sail, fish, kayak, or join a sunset cruise. A lake swimming cage is available for those who want to swim without open water. Day trips cross the lake to Matusadona National Park for game drives and game walks. On land the hotel runs guided walks, night drives, horse riding, cycling, and quad biking. Cultural tours take in the dam wall, the Santa Barbara Chapel, the township, and the Kariba viewpoint. Beach dinners are available at the sister property, Kariba Safari Lodge.
