Game drives run morning and afternoon in open land cruisers, with night drives after dinner adding spotlights and stargazing presentations. Because Eagle Island Lodge sits on a private concession in the Okavango, vehicles are permitted to leave camp before sunrise and stay out after sunset, and to go off-road when tracking wildlife rather than sticking to fixed trails. That freedom, rare at public reserves, shapes the sightings on offer. Guides adjust routes and timing to whatever the bush is doing that day, and the after-dark drives give a different view of the delta entirely.
