El MaPi Hotel byInkaterra is a contemporary property in the village of Machu Picchu Pueblo, on the Urubamba River in a green canyon between the Andes and the Amazon Basin. The hotel stands a short walk from the town centre and museum, minutes from the Machu Picchu archaeological site. Lofty ceilings and panoramic windows define the flowing lobby, where an open café admits natural light through tall dried eucalyptus branches.
The property holds 147 Superior Deluxe rooms at 20 m², each with panoramic windows and blackout curtains, two single beds or one king, hypoallergenic pillows, a reading light, closet, full-length mirror, and cotton bathrobes. Nine triple rooms at 38 m² accommodate three single beds. Eight suites at 40 m² add a walking closet, seating area with sofa bed, and two hypoallergenic pillows per guest.
