Guided birding on the Osa Peninsula, garden to lowlands
Skip to product information
El Remanso runs two distinct outings for spotting the Osa Peninsula's birdlife. A gentle afternoon walk stays within half a mile of the lobby, through garden and forest where a guide points out endemic species and helps guests tell songs apart, using a telephoto monocular for closer views. The second option starts at dawn: guests ride in the back of a four-by-four down from the rainforest to the lowland river pastures, stopping along the way for birds of prey, camouflaged nests, and occasional Blue Morpho butterflies or monkeys, before returning for breakfast. Guides advise on timing for either route.
