Elephant Gorge Camp

Arriving at Elephant Gorge Camp means settling into a private conservation area ten kilometres southeast of Amboseli National Park, with the plains open in every direction. The camp counts twelve rooms in total: five deluxe rooms with bathtubs, five villa suites, and a two-bedroom family suite, and each suite comes with its own plunge pool and an outdoor shower. Rooms also have air conditioning, a fan, a fireplace and a balcony or deck. At the centre of the camp, an infinity pool and a raised viewing deck look out over a waterhole. It is a busy spot. Elephants come through often, along with other animals drawn to the water. Days are built around game drives and walks with guides, plus visits to Maasai communities nearby; nights bring drives out into the dark and dinners laid outside under the stars, with sundowners before the meal. There is a bar, a restaurant, and a spa on site, and Wi-Fi reaches the lounge and rooms alike. The camp keeps 24-hour security and offers laundry service for longer stays. Evenings often end at the campfire, with the waterhole quiet below and the plains stretching out past it in the dark.
